The Fort Generals snuck by Lodi with a 2-1 victory in Southeast Division semi-final play. After spotting Lodi a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Generals hurler Dan Dean blanked Lodi for the final eight innings.
Three times during the game, Dean picked off Lodi runners further helping his cause.
Fort Atkinson's only runs came as a result or two throwing errors from Lodi's shortstop to first base, each time with the ball getting by the first baseman, allowing Fort runners to score from second base, the second time bringing Fort centerfielder Chris Koepke to score.
Kyle Mack was the hard luck loser allowing only two unearned runs during the contest.
Fort plays rival Jefferson in the Southeast Division final Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Park.
